We are a family run farm. Jim (father) and Jonathan (son) work together to grow and market their organic vegetables from Lancaster County, PA. Other family members also help out on occasion.
"Farming gives us opportunity to work together. We see God working in the changing weather, the way plants are determined to grow, and in the beauty and order He has made in the life around us."
We started raising organic produce in 1998 in Dauphin County. Everything we raised was sold wholesale. We raised potatoes, tomatoes, winter squash and broccoli. In 2000, we moved to Paradise, PA where we spent two years working with a seasoned organic farmer to learn more about raising organic produce. In 2002, we rented a farm and began to market our wholesale produce through Paradise Organics.
God has faithfully worked through these years to draw us closer to Him and to show us our need to depend on Him. We've slowly expanded the crops we grow to include Cabbage, Heirloom Tomatoes, Watermelon, Sweet Potatoes, Garlic, Spinach, Lettuce, Kale, Chard, Sweet Corn, Shallots, Leeks, Herbs, and Carrots.
In 2008 and 2009, we attended a farmer's market in Philadelphia. Selling some of our produce retail has worked very well for us. Selling through a CSA gives us another retail market for our produce.
In 2016, we merged with Wimer's Organics CSA. We had each been operating CSAs in the Philadelphia area for several years. All of the produce continues to come from the same two farms in Lancaster county. This merger maintains the same quality produce while helping to streamline our business.
